The publication “Participation in culture” has been prepared on the basis of the results of a survey that the Statistics Poland conducts every five years in randomly selected households. The survey allows tracking changes in the way the population participates in culture and an analysis of how a dynamic technological development influences the cultural habits of the society. The publication presents the ways and forms of participation in culture, perceptions of traditions and customs, as well as opinions on the cultural offer in the place of residence. It also presents household expenditure on culture, assessments of financial possibilities related to satisfying cultural needs, and household equipment related to culture. The publication is supplemented by a tabular section presenting data on participation in culture in various cross-sections.
