The situation of households in 2019 – on the base of the result of Household Budget Survey

In 2019 the financial situation of households in Poland improved. Housheholds reached higher income and in comparison with 2018 spent slightly more. The average monthly available income per capita in 2019 rounded up to 1 PLN, amounted to PLN 1819 and in real terms it was 5.0% higher than the income in 2018. The average monthly expenditure per capita in households in 2019 amounted to PLN 1252 and in real terms it was 3.1% higher than in 2018. Expenditure on consumer goods and services amounted to PLN 1201 and in comparision with 2018, in real terms, was 3.3% higher.1

The study consists of analytical commentaries together with maps and graphs showing trends observed over the past few years and, additionally, cross-section tables for the Voivodship and its capital city illustrating the level of the phenomenon against the whole country and other voivodships, as well as detailed tables for the Voivodship. Basic methodological explanations can be found in the analytical part. In relation to the prior years’ editions, the study has been enriched with additional issues and encompasses key divisions of the official statistics grouped in thematic chapters, i.e. environment, society, economy and finances of the local government units.

Report on the socio-economic situation of Śląskie Voivodship 2020

The publication has been prepared in a new form, adjusted in terms of the subject matter to the verified assumptions contained in the National Strategy for Regional Development 2030. These assumptions included such areas as: climate change – threats and opportunities for development, counteracting the negative effects of demographic processes, development and use of human and social capital, increase in productivity and innovation of regional economies, development of infrastructure to improve competitiveness, investment attractiveness and living conditions in regions as well as increasing the effectiveness of development management. Statistical information was presented in several thematic chapters characterizing the area and territorial division of the voivodship, the state of the environment, social potential, including human capital and quality of life of the inhabitants, broadly understood economy, including gross domestic product, business tendency, entrepreneurship, production and services, as well as finances of local government units. The analytical part of the publication was enriched with tabular and graphic form of data presentation in the extended time retrospection 2010-2019. The particular data categories were presented in dynamic terms, as well as in relation to the country. For a more complete illustration of territorial diversity, selected statistical information was presented at the level of powiats and gminas. An important part of the Report are also review tables containing selected data on the Śląskie Voivodeship and Katowice in the years 2010-2019.

Population and vital statistics in Mazowieckie Voivodship in 2019

The year 2019 in Mazowieckie Voivodship was another year in a row in which an increase in the number of population was recorded. The population growth was caused by a positive natural increase — there were by 1.9 thousand more live births than deaths. The second factor affecting the population is migration. As a result of positive net migration for permanent residence, the number of inhabitants in the voivodship increased by 18.1 thousand persons.
