The state of human capital in Poland. The specification of thematic groups within human capital makes it possible to conduct a basic analysis of each area of its impact.

On the last day of September 2025, the population of employed persons in the national economy was 15 128.0 thousand, i.e. 0.1% fewer than in September 2024. Compared with the previous month, their number increased by 0.6%.

We are pleased to present updated methodological report on surveys concerning vital statistics and population balances. It presents information describing the current course of surveys, their methodology and organization, as well as a short historical background including the post-war period.

At the end of 2025, there were 598951 entities of the national economy registered, i.e. by 3.7% more than a year before. In the total number of entities, natural persons conducting economic activity prevailed (54.9%). The majority of entities (19.4%) conducted professional, scientific and technical activities. Out of the total number of entities, the vast majority (90.8%) belonged to the private sector.
