Business tendency in manufacturing, construction, trade and services - February 2024
In February the assessments of general business climate indicator in all of presented kinds of activities are at a similar or higher level as compared to the ones presented in January. Regarding seasonally adjusted data, the indicator in most cases is close to the one that was noted a month ago. In all areas, apart from retail trade, the indicator is below the long-term mean[1]. In majority of studied areas, month-to-month level of "diagnostic" components does not change or deteriorates, whereas "forecasting" ones improve.

Prices of agricultural products in January 2024
Procurement prices of basic agricultural products[1] decreased in January 2024 in comparison with the previous month (by 2.5%) as well as while compared to the corresponding period of the last year (by 16.1%).

Retail sales index - January 2024
In January 2024 retail sales[1] at constant prices[2] were by 3.0% higher than the year before (against an increase of 0.1% in January 2023). Compared with December 2023, a decrease by 19.5% in retail sales was recorded.

Entities of the national economy in the REGON register in Warszawa. As of the end of 2023
Statistical Office in Warszawa
At the end of 2023, there were 552771 entities of the national economy registered, i.e. by 5.2% more than a year before. In the total number of entities, natural persons conducting economic activity prevailed (54.9%). The majority of entities (19.3%) conducted professional, scientific and technical activities. Out of the total number of entities, the vast majority (91.4%) belonged to the private sector.
