In the period of first seven months of 2018 there were more dwellings completed than the year before. The number of dwellings for which permits have been granted or which have been registered with a construction project and the number of dwellings in which construction has begun also increased.

According to preliminary data in July 2018 the prices of sold production of industry were by 0.1% higher in comparison to June 2018, it is estimated that the prices of construction and assembly production in July 2018 increased by 0.3% in comparison to the previous month.

In July of 2018, sold production of industry was by 10.3% higher than in July of 2017, whereas an increase of 18.7% was reported in construction-assembly production.

The publication contains choropleth maps and diagram maps as well as numerous charts reflecting the diversity of gminas and powiats of the voivodship. They illustrate issues related to human capital, quality of life, economy and environment. The background of the shown phenomena are maps by voivodships. Moreover, the most important aspects of cohesion policy were presented in division by EU regions (NUTS 2).

Price index of construction and assembly production in the second quarter of 2018 compared to the first quarter of 2017 have increased by 0.8%.

In 2018, 100 years have passed since the establishment of Statistics Poland. On this occasion Statistical Office in Białystok has prepared the publication ”Statistical Atlas of Podlaskie Voivodship”. This is the first study presenting exclusively in a graphic form an extensive characteristics of social and economic phenomena and processes of the region in the spatial division.
