The demand for labour in the first quarter of 2022
At the end of the first quarter of 2022, there were 158.7 thousand job vacancies in Poland, 44.0% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year. Over the year, the number of newly created jobs decreased slightly (by 1.0%). On the other hand, the number of jobs liquidated during the quarter increased (by 16.6%). In the first quarter of 2022, there were 2.3 newly created jobs per liquidated job.

As at the end of May 2022 the REGON register included 4 886.5 thous. of national economy entities, i.e. by 0.3% more than a month before (3.3% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year).

Accidents at work in the first quarter of 2022 - preliminary data
11,111 persons injured in accidents at work were reported in the first quarter of 2022, by 2.0% more than in 2021. The number of injured persons per 1,000 employed persons (the incidence rate) also increased from 0.81 to 0.82.

Producer price indices for business services in the first quarter of 2022
In the first quarter of 2022, the producer prices for business services increased compared to the previous quarter by 2.2% and compared to the first quarter of 2021 by 5.1%.
