On December, 12, 2023 the European Union Delegation to Cambodia awarded a multi-year twinning project Enhancing the quality of the statistical system in Cambodia to an international consortium led by ISTAT (Istituto Nazionale di Statistica), with institutional participation from, among others, Statistics Poland.

We are targeting constant development. Statistics Poland will engage in another international  development project, being a multi-year twinning for the first time, as a support institution.

The twinning consortium for the project entitled Enhancing the quality of the statistical system in Cambodia includes the statistical offices of Italy (consortium leader), France, Lithuania, Poland with Società Geografica Italiana.

It is also the first ever twinning project for Cambodia, funded by the European Commission.

Twinning is one of the European Commission's flagship development cooperation programs for public administrations. It is expected to transfer good administrative practices of EU member states to twin units in the recipient country and to contribute to supporting public sector reforms, here specifically in the field of statistics.
