Cattle population in June 2023 reached 6353.7 thousand heads and was lower by 1.4% com-pared to June of last year. The decrease in the total number of cattle herd resulted from a decrease in the population of all heard age groups except cattle over 2 years old (exclud-ing cows).

At the end of the second quarter of 2023, there were 113.2 thousand job vacancies in Poland (1.5% fewer than at the end of the first quarter of the current year). The number of job vacancies decreased the most on a year-over-year basis in the Financial and insurance activities section. The job vacancy rate remained at the same level as in the previous quarter (0.90%).

Statistics in focus Social dialogue partners – employers’ organizations and trade unions in 2022

In 2022, 353 active employers’ organizations associated 21,6 thous. members. However, a total of 1.4 milion people belonged to 11 656 trade unions. The most significant part of trade union members (19,3%) worked in education, while employers belonging to the employers’ organizations to a greatest extend dealt with human health and social work activities (16,6%).
