Average monthly wage and salary in national economy diminished by obligatory social insurance taxes paid by the insured person in 2016 was PLN 3536.87 and in the second half of 2016 was PLN 3622.05.

In 2016 (according to preliminary data), exports at current prices amounted to PLN 798199.1 mln, while imports amounted to PLN 777539.2 mln. The positive balance reached the level of PLN 20659.9 mln, while in 2015 PLN 9862.5 mln. In comparison to the corresponding period of the 2015, exports increased by 6.3% and imports by 4.9%.

In the 4th quarter of 2016 seasonally adjusted GDP (constant prices, reference year 2010) was higher by 1.7% than in the previous quarter and 3.1% higher than in the 4th quarter of the previous year.

Price indexes of consumer goods and services for January 2017 was 100.4 (prices increased by 0.4 % comparing to December 2016).

Average real wage and salary growth in 2016 was 4.2% as compared to the 2015.
