Prices of residential premises in the fourth quarter 2019, compared to the previous quarter, increased by 2.8% (of which both on the primary market and on the secondary market - by 2.8%). Compared to the corresponding quarter of 2018, prices of residential premises increased by 9.4% (of which on the primary market - by 6.5% and on the secondary market - by 12.0%).

In 2019 the net financial result of the banking sector1 amounted to 14,6 bn PLN, ie. 12,2% y/y. The balance sheet total increased by 5,6% y/y and amounted to 1 992,4 bn PLN. The value of loans for the non-financial sector increased by 4,4% y/y to 1 131,0 bn PLN, while the value of deposits increased by 9,6% y/y to 1 262,3 bn PLN.

In 2019, 35.7 million tourists were accommodated in tourist accommodation establishments, with 93.3 million nights spent. Compared to 2018, it was more by 5.2% and 5.0%, respectively. The occupancy rate of bed places in all tourist accommodation establishments in 2019 ammounted to 40.6% and was higher by 0.5 percentage point compared to the previous year.

According to the EDP notification, in 2019 the general government deficit was 0,7% of GDP, while the general government debt amounted to 46 % of GDP.

Average monthly available income for a total of 1 person in 2019 was 1819 PLN.

At the end of 2018, 1 859 enterprises in Poland (an increase as compared to 2017 by 1.1%) declared involvement in 3 849 foreign entities (a decrease by 2.3% comparing to 2017) in the form of shares, branches or other forms. Majority of foreign entities were located in Germany, Czechia, Ukraine and Russia.
