Seasonally unadjusted gross domestic product (GDP) in the 1st quarter of 2021 was lower by 0.9% year-on-year comparison against the growth of 2.0% in the correspording quarter of 2020 (constant average prices of the previous year).

Price index of market agricultural output in 2020 as related to 2019 was 97.9 (the prices decreased by 2.1%).

In February 2021, 697.4 thousand tourists were accommodated in tourist accommodation establishments and 1.6 million were provided for them.

Price index of investment goods for the first quarter of 2021 (related to the fourth quarter of 2020) was 101.1 (the prices increased by 1.1%).

In 2020 the number of institutional care facilities for children up to age of 3 increased by 5.0% compared to the previous year. There were 4.6 thousand nurseries, children’s clubs and nursery wards, which had 173.5 thousand places. The indicator of the number of children per 1 thousand population aged up to 3 increased from 124 in 2019 to 128 in 2020.

In April 2021 entities having 50 or more persons employed and participating in the monthly survey of production of industrial products, reported production of 13 130 095 face masks used in medicine and 6 807 206 other protective face masks.
