At the end of the first quarter of 2022, there were 158.7 thousand job vacancies in Poland, 44.0% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year. Over the year, the number of newly created jobs decreased slightly (by 1.0%). On the other hand, the number of jobs liquidated during the quarter increased (by 16.6%). In the first quarter of 2022, there were 2.3 newly created jobs per liquidated job.

At the end of 2021, there were operating 258 health resort facilities. 599.9 thousand patients were admitted to health resort facilities during a year, of which 529.9 thousand were inpatients. 61.0 thousand inpatients were treated in 43 inpa-tient rehabilitation facilities.

In 2021 assets (liabilities) of the surveyed cultural institutions as of December 31, 2021 amounted to PLN 21,209.4 million. Total revenues were higher by 9.5% and total costs by 10.5% in comparison to 2020.

As of the end of 2021, there were 3944 operating centres of culture, cultural establishments, cultural centres, clubs and community centres. During the year entities organised 156.6 thousand events, in which took part 18.3 million participants.

At the end of 2021, there were operating 11.9 thousand pharmacies (generally available and dispensaries) and 1.1 thousand pharmaceutical outlets in which 58.3 thousand pharmacists and pharmaceutical technicians were employed.

Consumer prices according to the flash estimate in May 2022, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 13,9% (price index 113,9), and as related to the previous month increased by 1,7% (price index 101,7).
