Foreign trade turnover in January - March 2023 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 418.1 bn, while in imports - PLN 404.5 bn. The positive balance reached the level of PLN 13.6 bn, while in the same period of 2022 year was negative and amounted to PLN 21.3 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of last year exports increased by 12.5%, while imports by 3.0%.

According to the flash estimate, gross domestic product (GDP) in volume terms seasonally unadjusted was lower by 0.2% in the 1st quarter of 2023 year-to-year against 8.8% increase in the corresponding period of 2022

In 2022, 5.2 thousand mass events were organised, including 2.4 thousand artistic and entertainment events. Mass events gathered a total of 23.0 million participants, including 9.5 million participants of artistic and entertainment events.

Consumer prices in April 2023, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 14,7% (with an increase of prices of goods – by 15,1% and services – by 13,3%). As related to the previous month consumer prices increased by 0,7% (of which services – by 1,4% and goods – by 0,5%).

In 2022 there were 963 museums and museums branches, visited by 36.7 million people. Museums presented 2.6 thousand regular exhibitions and organised 4.4 thousand temporary exhibitions in Poland.

As at the end of April 2023 the REGON register included 5 039.3 thous. of national economy entities, i.e. by 0.3% more than a month before (3.5% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year). Newly registered entities in the REGON register A decrease in the number of newly registered entities was recorded for civil law partnerships (by 33.7%) and commercial companies (by 22.7%) in relation to the previous month. The number of newly registered natural persons conducting economic activity decreased (by 13.4%).
