Foster care


Definition:

Family or institutional form of care, exercised in case when it is impossible for the parents to provide care and education for a child.



The forms of family foster care:

1) foster family: a) related, b) non-professional, c) professional, including the professional one that performs the function of a family emergency house and professional specialist one;

2) foster home.

The forms of institutional foster care:

1) care and education centre;

2) regional care and therapy centre;

3) pre-adoptive intervention centre.
