This study provides information on the methodology, course and organisation of the Survey on the labour market demand for employees by occupation. Cyclical monitoring of the current demand for employees by occupation will allow for the analysis of the situation on the labour market and a more effective educational policy, which takes into account employers’ needs.
The handbook consists of eight parts. The initial chapters contain a detailed description of statistical units and scope of data in the survey, the type and method of the survey, the characteristics of data sources, a description of the set of variables covered in the survey, and definitions of key terms. The following chapters describe the organisation of the survey, the forms and scope of presentation of the obtained results, as well as the assessment of their quality and reliability. The presented handbook contains a description of the methodology in force in 2021. Systematic updating of its electronic version is planned.
