Employment and earnings in national economy in 2017 – preliminary data

The number of the employed in national economy comprised 15.7 million persons, it means a growth by 2.8 % compared to 2016.
The highest increase was observed in sections “Administration and auxiliary activities” by 7.8% and “Transportation and storage” by 6.2%. Since 2011, the number of persons employed in sections “Mining and quarrying” and “Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supplyΔ” was decreasing. The average number of persons employed in 2017 comprised 10.3 thous. persons, which means a growth by 2.0% as compared to the previous year.
