This report presents the methodological principles and a description of the organisation of the "Population exposure to noise in cities with over 100 thousand inhabitants" survey.

"Population exposure to noise in cities with over 100 thousand inhabitants" is one of the surveys conducted by Statistics Poland. The aim of the survey is to provide information on the scale of population exposure to noise in cities with over 100 thousand inhabitants, based on the number of people living in a given area linked to address points with assigned geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude).

The survey allows for the determination of spatial noise exposure levels, as well as the number of residents exposed to different categories of noise, specifically road, rail, air traffic, and industrial noise.
