In the 2024/25 school year, 6.6 million children, youth and adults were enrolled in pre-primary establishments, primary schools, post-primary and post-secondary schools, accounting for 17.7% of Poland’s population (38.3 thousand fewer than in the previous year).
In the Polish education system, pre-primary education is provided in nursery schools,
pre-primary sections in primary schools, pre-primary education units and pre-primary centres. In the 2024/25 school year, there were 22.3 thousand pre-primary establishments (1.0% fewer than in the previous year), attended by 1452.4 thousand children (3.9% fewer).
