In 2021, in tourist accommodation establishments located in the 27 countries of the European Union 590.9 million people were accommodated, with 1.8 billion overnight stays provided to them. Compared to 2020, both the number of tourists and the number of overnight stays provided to them increased - by 26.8% and 28.7% respectively.
