In 2025, the number of theatres and music institutions remained the same as in the previous year, but they organised 63.1 thousand performances and concerts (i.e. 4.3% more than in 2024), attended by 13.0 million audience (an increase of 6.7%).
In 2025, 206 theatres and music institutions conducted stage activities, of which 179 had their own artistic ensemble. The largest number of theatres and music institutions operated in Mazowieckie Voivodship (42), and the fewest in the following voivodships: Lubuskie, Opolskie, Podkarpackie and Świętokrzyskie (4 each).
The public sector comprised 174 theatres and music institutions (84.5%). For 162 of them (93.1%) the organiser was a local government entity.
