It is initially estimated that this year the sown area of basic cereals with cereal mixtures is larger than last year (after taking into account the area ploughed due to winter damage) and amounts to approx. 5.6 million hectares (an increase of about 2.9%).

Consumer prices according to the flash estimate in May 2026 increased by 3.1% (price index 103.1) compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, and as related to the previous month decreased by 0.3% (price index 99.7).
