Tourists (domestic and foreign) in tourist accommodation establishments possesing 10 or more bed places in 2021.

In the 1st quarter of 2021 financial results of the surveyed non-financial enterprises were higher than those obtained a year earlier. Also, the economic and financial indicators have significantly improved. Investment outlays were higher by 4.6% than those recorded in the 1st quarter of 2020 (when there was an increase by 4.3%).

In April 2021 retail sales1 at constant prices were by 21.1% higher than the year before (against a decrease of 22.9% in April 2020). Compared with March 2021 retail sales decreased by 7.7%. In the period of January-April2 2021 retail sales y/y were by 6.4% higher (against a decrease of 5.8% in 2020).

In April 2021, sold production of industry was by 44.5% higher than in April 2020, when a decrease was recorded by 24.6% as compared to the previous year, whereas in comparison with March 2021, it decreased by 9.2%. In the period January-April of 2021, sold production of industry was by 15.5% higher than in the corresponding period of 2020, which saw a decrease by 5.6%.

The publication presents information on the state and protection of the environment, demographic situation, education, labour resources, quality of life, the state of the economy as well as finances of local government units in Podlaskie Voivodship.

The study consists of analytical commentaries together with maps and graphs showing trends observed over the past few years and, additionally, cross-section tables for the Voivodship and its capital city illustrating the level of the phenomenon against the whole country and other voivodships, as well as detailed tables for the Voivodship. Basic methodological explanations can be found in the analytical part. In relation to the prior years’ editions, the study has been enriched with information regarding the impact of the pandemic on the Voivodship’s economy.

Comprehensive analytical study relating to the development challenges of the country and voivodeships included in the National Strategy of Regional Development 2030, where the challenges include: climate change, counteracting the negative effects of demographic processes, developing and using human and social capital, increase in productivity and innovation of regional economies, development of infrastructure increasing competitiveness, investment attractiveness and living conditions in the regions and increasing the efficiency of development management. The objective scope of the publication was adjusted to the set of the above-mentioned challenges, so that the information contained in individual chapters allowed for the effective identification of the development needs of the Śląskie Voivodeship. The statistical data is presented in several thematic chapters characterizing the area and territorial division of the voivodeship, the state of the environment, social potential including human capital and the quality of life of inhabitants, the broadly understood economy including gross domestic product, economic prosperity, entrepreneurship, production and services and finances of local government units. The analytical comment was enriched with the tabular and graphical form of data presentation in the 2010-2020 time retrospection. The individual categories of data are presented in dynamic terms as well as in relation to the country. For a more complete picture of the territorial differentiation, selected statistical information is presented at the level of powiats and gminas. An important part of the Report are also review tables containing selected data on the Śląskie Voivodeship and Katowice in the years 2010-2020.

The elaboration provides the latest statistical data concerning significant phenomena in social and economic spheres.

Report on the socio-economic situation of Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodship 2021

The Statistical Office in Poznań presents another edition of the Report on the socio-economic situation of Wielkopolskie Voivodship. The publication contains a wide range of updated statistical information about the development of our region. The thematic scope of the current edition includes topics related to the environment, society, economy and finances of the local government. In order to track changes taking place over a longer period, data series in each thematic domain start from 2010. Selected statistics are compared with figures for the whole country and other voivodships.

The study consists of analytical commentaries together with maps and graphs showing trends observed over the past few years and, additionally, cross-section tables for the Voivodship and its capital city illustrating the level of the phenomenon against the whole country and other voivodships, as well as detailed tables for the Voivodship. Basic methodological explanations can be found in the analytical part. In relation to the prior years’ editions, the study has been enriched with additional issues and encompasses key divisions of the official statistics grouped in thematic chapters, i.e. environment, society, economy and finances of the local government units.

The data presented in the Report relate to 2020 or the last available year. In order to illustrate changes over time, some issues are presented in a multi-year retrospective. For most topics, the presentation of phenomena dates back to 2010. The population projection was presented in the horizon until 2030. Selected data were compared to the average values ​​for the country. In this year's edition of the study, in selected sections, comments were made on new information introduced into the surveys of official statistics in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

Long-term analysis of the phenomena occurring in the national economy in the voivodeship and presentation of their internal diversity in terms of phenomena significant from the point of view of socio-economic development, i.e. human capital (including demographic processes and labor resources), the quality of life of residents, the economy, taking into account the processes related to the development of entrepreneurship, implementation of investments, production and services, infrastructure of the economy, public finances, environmental protection. The categories are presented dynamically (in a long-term retrospection), as well as in relation to the average values ​​for the country. The statistical analysis, which is thematically consistent for all voivodeships, includes the presentation of phenomena also in a graphic form - with the use of maps and charts.
