Consumer price indices in July 2026
Consumer prices in July 2026 increased by 3.0% compared with the corresponding month of the previous year (with an increase of prices of services by 5.5% and goods by 2.0%). As related to the previous month consumer prices increased by 0.8% (of which services by 1.4% and goods by 0.6%).

Flash estimate of Gross Domestic Product in the 2nd quarter of 2026
According to the flash estimate, gross domestic product (GDP) in volume terms seasonally unadjusted was higher by 3.8% in the 2nd quarter of 2026 year-on-year (against 3.3% increase in the corresponding period of 2025).

Foreign trade turnover of goods in total and by countries in January–June 2026
In January–June 2026 foreign trade turnover in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 812.4 bn, while in imports to PLN 828.0 bn. The negative balance reached the level of minus PLN 15.7 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of 2025, exports increased by 4.6% and imports by 5.1%.

Demographic changes are nowadays one of the biggest challenges facing societies and although they are mainly the result of processes that have been taking place for many years, their effects – both economic and social – are already felt. Currently observed trends, such as a decline in fertility, an increase in life expectancy, a changing age structure, and an inflow of population to suburban areas of large cities, determine the labour market, education, health care, and also influence the nature of consumption or the social security market.
