This publication presents the results of the survey of persons crossing the Polish-Ukrainian border in 2009, particularly information concerning the volume and structure of expenses incurred by foreigners in Poland and by Poles abroad. It also provides a description of border traffic intensity and its structure according to purpose of travel or frequency of crossing the border, among other things. On the basis of the survey results, delimitation of the areas of border impact has been also made. Conducting the survey prior to the entry into force of the Agreement on local border traffic between Poland and Ukraine allows for comparison of the situation on border area before and after the implementation of facilitations in crossing the border.
