In order to reflect current legal regulations related to price formation in the measurement of consumer prices, Statistics Poland on the ongoing basis regularly includes in the index of consumer price change data for selected groups of goods and services concerned by these regulations.

The changes will be taken into account in accordance with the dates of their entry into force set out in the legal acts and will affect, in addition to energy prices, inter alia, the prices of medicines. Regulatory shielding measures, depending on their nature, may affect collected price levels or household expenditure, which are used as weights in the calculations of price indices.
