The Annual International Conference of the European Forum for Geography and Statistics (EFGS) will be held on 20 -21 October 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will exceptionally be organized as a webinar meeting in a shortened form.

The event is one of the most important EFGS’ activities.  It is focused on promotion  of statistical data integration with geospatial information in the public sector. At present, Mr. Janusz Dygaszewicz, Director of ICT Systems, Geostatistics and Census Department in Statistics Poland, acts as the EFGS President.

The EFGS 2020 webinar is organized by Statistics Poland in cooperation with Eurostat, the European Forum for Geography and Statistics and the Head Office Of Geodesy And Cartography.

The programme of the meeting includes presentations of the most prominent international experts in both areas. Speakers will present results of their works and will share their knowledge and best practises related to 5 principles of the Global Statistical Geospatial Framework (GSGF), i.e.  the topics of the main sessions this year.
