Consumer prices according to the flash estimate in June 2021, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 4,4% (price index 104,4), and as related to the previous month increased by 0,1% (price index 100,1).

In 2020, there was a decline noticed in water consumption related to the needs of the national economy and population by approximately 6% compared to the previous year, the amount of generated industrial and municipal wastewater decreased by over 4%, there was also a reduction of emission of particulate pollutants from plants of significant nuisance to air quality by 17%, and a reduction of emission of gaseous pollutants by 6%. There was a reduction of the amount of generated waste by 3%.

The survey covered 82 enterprises conducting leasing activity in 2020. Throughout 2020, the surveyed enterprises concluded 560 thousand new lease agreements for 654 thousand assets/items leased. The value of concluded contracts in 2020 amounted to PLN 50.2 billion.

In 2020, the extreme poverty rate in Poland was around 5% compared to 4% in 2019. This occurred with a substantial decrease in the level of household expenditure. The deterioration of the material situation of some households and the increase in extreme poverty in Poland are associated with the introduction, since March 2020, of the freezing of part of the economy and restrictions in social contacts, in response to the appearance of the coronavirus in Poland and the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic. Higher level of extreme poverty than in 2019 affected most of the population groups considered but the level of change varied. However, this did not change the image of social differentiation in the extreme poverty rate in Poland. The value of the relative poverty rate fell to approximately 12% (by about 1 p.p.), and the legal poverty rate remained at the level of about 9%.

In 2020 assets (liabilities) of the surveyed cultural institutions as of December 31, 2020 amounted to PLN 19,757.7 million. Total revenues were lower by 5.6% and total costs by 6.3%.
