Net reproduction rate

Definition:

The number of daughters that would be born on average by a woman (according to the same assumptions as for the gross reproduction rate), excluding these daughters who — according to the current life table — will not survive to the age of their mothers. The rate expresses the degree of generation's replacement of mothers by daughters.
