Midwife


Definition:

A person who has required qualifications, confirmed by appropriate documents, to perform the profession of a nurse, which consists of providing health services, and in particular in the scope of nursing, prevention, diagnosis, curative, rehabilitation and health promotion services, connected with care over a pregnant woman, a childbearing woman, a woman lying-in and an infant.



A midwife provides health services employment in Walfare homes and facilities, nurseries and children's clubs.
