Ecological area


Definition:

Ecological areas are worth protecting fragments of ecosystems of significant importance for biodiversity, such as: natural water reservoirs, field and forest ponds, groups of trees and shrubs, swamps, peat bogs, dunes, old river beds, rock outcrops, scarps, gravel banks, habitats of rare or protected species of plants, animals and fungi, including places of their seasonal stay or breeding.
