Dust collecting units


Definition:

Facilities necessary to separating and removing particulate air pollutanta from their gaseous mediausing such physical phenomena as occurrence of inertial, gravitational, centrifugal, electrostatic and magnetic forcea, thermal diffusion, condensation of water vapour on particulates.



The most widely used units are wet or dry cyclones, multicyclones, tower washers, centrifugal washers, fabric filters and electrostatic dust precipitators (ESP).
