Polonia (Polish community)


Definition:

A relatively integrated population of people of Polish origin - emigrants from Poland, their descendants and other people admitting Polish origin, with a permanent residence outside of Poland.



This term is usually not used to refer to a native population with ethnic Polish origin that is no longer on a Polish territory solely as a result of change of political borders of Poland.
