Main and additional job by LFS

Definition:

If the respondent has one job, it is also his/her main job. In the case the respondent has more than one job, the main job is determined on the basis of the respondent's subjective assessment. In case of any doubts, as the main job is considered the one which takes more time. If the respondent's jobs take the same amount of time, the main job is the one which generates higher income.

On the base of the LFS data, it is possible to characterise the main job, as well as, to a lesser extent, additional job of a respondent. In the case of persons with more than one addtional job, information about this one which takes more time is collected.
