Nature monitoring


Definition:

It consists in observing and assessing the condition and the changes occurring in the components of biological and landscape diversity, including natural habitat types and species of Community interest, with particular emphasis on priority natural habitat types and priority species, as well as in assessing the effectiveness of the nature conservation measures applied.



As part of state environmental monitoring (SEM), nature monitoring of biological and landscape diversity is carried out.
