The subject of protection, for which a patent may be granted, an invention is any solution of a technical nature:

1. biotechnological invention - an invention related to a product consisting of or containing biological material or a method by which biological material is produced, processed or used;
2. secret invention - an invention constituting classified information, categorized as: "top secret", "secret", "confidential" or "restricted"; an invention may be considered secret if it concerns state defense or security.
