Subsidies (by regulation (EU) No 549/2013)


Definition:

Are current unrequited payments which general government or the institutions of the European Union make to resident producers.



Subsidies are classified into:

1. subsidies on products, i.e., subsidies to be paid with respect to a unit of a product or service, whether produced or imported:

- import subsidies,

- other subsidies on products;

2. other subsidies on production, which include subsidies that resident production units may receive from production and are not categorized as product subsidies.
