Production of intermediate goods


Definition:

Sold production of industrial enterprises which produce primarily raw materials, semi-finished or finished goods, primarily for further production. This is one of the five Main Industrial Groupings (MIG-s).



This group includes:

- mining of metal ores,

- other mining and quarrying,

- mining support service activities,

- manufacture of grain mill products, starches and starch products and manufacture of prepared animal feeds,

- preparation and spinning of textile fibres, weaving of textiles, finishing of textiles,

- manufacture of wood and of products of wood and cork, except furniture; manufacture of articles of straw and plaiting materials,

- manufacture of paper and paper products,

- manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (excluding manufacture of soap and detergents, cleaning and polishing preparations, perfumes and toilet preparations),

- manufacture of rubber and plastic products,

- manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products,

- manufacture of basic metals,

- forging, pressing, stamping and roll-forming of metal; powder metallurgy, treatment and coating of metals; machining, manufacture of cutlery, tools and general hardware, manufacture of other fabricated metal products,

- manufacture of electronic components and boards, manufacture of magnetic and optical media,

- manufacture of electrical equipment (excluding manufacture of domestic appliances).
