Specialist therapy centre


Definition:

A centre which provides care for a child deprived in part or in full of paternal care, with individual needs, in particular: a child with a disability certificate or a certificate of high or moderate level of disability; a child requiring the application of special education methods and specialist therapy; a child requiring dealing with their developmental and emotional retardation.



The centre provides educational, sociotherapeutic, corrective, compensating, speech therapy, and therapeutic activities compensating for lacks in upbringing in a family and preparing for social life, as well as proper rehabilitation for disabled children. Placed in it may be not more than 14 children or persons that reached the age of majority while being under foster care.
