Pearson linear correlation coefficient


Definition:

Factor determining the level of linear relationship between random variables. The value of the correlation coefficient is in the closed interval [-1, 1]. The greater the absolute value, the stronger the linear relationship between the variables. 0 - means no linear dependence, 1 - is positive, and -1 means negative relationship between features.
