Catering establishment


Definition:

Permanent and seasonal catering establishment or outlet, the scope of activity of which is the preparation and sale of meals and beverages for on-site and take-out consumption.



Catering establishments are divided into: - establishments available to all consumers; - establishments addressed to specific consumer groups. Catering establishments can be operated, among others, within: hotels, motels, inns, hostels, camp sites, boarding houses, recreation centres and other places of temporary stay as well as rail-coaches within a train and on passenger ships. Mobile retail sales points are not treated as catering establishments.
