Index of similarity of structure


Definition:

Index constructed on the basis of structural indicators, which is calculated to compare the similarity of structures of two or more collectivity. The value of the similarity index of structures is in the range [0; 1]. The value is closer to unity, the similarity of the structures of compared sub-populations is higher. A value of 0 indicates a lack of similarity, and a value of 1 total similarity of the structures of the compared sub-populations.
