Typical area of variability


Definition:

Area of variability x' ± S (x), where x' is the arithmetic mean of the values of the feature to be tested, and S(x) is the standard deviation of the value of the feature to be tested. There are generally in this area about 2/3 of all values of the feature for units of the studied population.
