Household living on unearned sources

Definition:

Exclusive or main (prevailing) source of maintenance is provided by unearned income other than old age pension or another type of pension, such as unemployment benefits, monetary and non-monetary assistance provided on the basis of the Law on Social Welfare, housing subsidies, family benefits with suplements to them, alimonies, donations, income from property or income from hiring (leasing) houses and building constructions not related to own business activity.

Aditional sources of maintenance for these households can be provided by hired work, old age pension or another type of pension, self-employment, free profession or a private farm in agriculture. The income gained from additional sources is lower than that from unearned sources other than old age pensions and another type of pensions.
