Plant, animal and fungi species protection


Definition:

Species protection include type specimens as well as habitats and refuges for plants, animals and fungi. Plant, animal and fungi species protection is targeted at ensuring preservation and proper condition of protection of the existing in the wild in Poland or other European Union Member States the rare endemic endangered or protected species, specified in international agreements, where The Republic of Poland is a party to, plants, animals and fungi as well as habitats and refuges and also preservation of specific and genetic diversity.



So as to protect habitats and refuges of plants or fungi under species protection or refuges and/or areas where animals under species protection are born and regularly stay, protective zones may be established.
