Care allowance


Definition:

The family benefit granted to partly cover the expenses related to the need to provide care and aid of another person, in connection with inability person to lead an independent existence.



The allowance is granted to:

- a disabled child; a disabled person aged over 16, if he/she have a medical certificate confirming a considerable degree of disability;

-a disabled person aged over 16 with a certificate confirming a moderate degree of disability, if disability occurred before the age of 21;

- a person aged over 75.

The allowance is not granted to:

- a person eligible for nursing benefit;

- a person staying in an institution providing full-time maintenance.
