It consists of all dues and pledges resulting from the own activity of the NBP and other monetary financial institutions (among others: own funds, expenses and incomes, fixed assets, interbank settlements, inter-department settlements, unpaid interests of dues, interests counted from dues of NBP and other monetary institutions, deposits and securities with the original term longer than 2 years.

From the July 2007 open-ended deposits were excluded (actually placed in M1) and the method of counting the value of debt securities issue.
