Adoption

Definition:

The ratio of family law entered between the adopter and the adoptee similar to the relationship between parents and children.

Types of adoption:

- full adoption is a rule in the Polish legislation. An adoptee becomes a member of the family of adopter and the effects of adoption also extend to the family of adopter, as if the adoptee was born as a natural child of the adopter. Mutual rights and obligations of alimony are created and the rights and obligations towards child's natural family cease. The results of the full adoption are usually the child's surname change and making new birth certificate. Full adoption is solvable,

- incomplete adoption creates a family relationship only between an adoptee and an adopter. It does not extend to relatives of the adopter. A birth certificate remains unchanged except for information about the adoption,

- complete adoption, also known as anonymous, is a far-reaching form of adoption. It is possible only when parents of the child before guardianship court consent to the adoption of his child in the future, without identification of the adopter.
