A beehive (of the Apis mellifera) is enclosed structure in which some honey bee live and raise their young.

A group of beehives grouped together is called an apiary. An apiary is not always located within a farm but may be transported to the forest, pastures, blooming fields and heaths, so-called travelling and mobile beehives.
