The statistical data web portal of the UNESCO Statistical Institute was created to disseminate and provide statistical data through their grouping into specific subject areas, adding comments and proper visualization. Data can be analyzed thanks to the sites containing typical statistical data tables and also thematic sites (describing the Sustainable Development Goals, gender equality in education or science), or sites devoted to specific regions and countries, where information presented is divided according to different areas and issues.
Polish official statistics, especially Statistics Poland, as its main coordinator, is obliged to provide statistical information at many levels. One of them is transferring statistical data to specialized international agencies, such as UNESCO. For example, in 2017 there data concerning film, literature or the educational achievements were sent to the organization.
