The publication is a continuation of the CSO works on demographic projections. The results of the previous population projection for 2008-2035, based on the assumption of regular, slow increase of births intensity – in the face of observed dynamic social-economic and cultural changes, having a significant impact on the demographic and migration behaviour patterns – went out of date. This publication contains assumptions and analyses of expected trends of demographic processes (fertility and morality) as well as direction and size of definitive migration and results of population projection until 2050, drawn up on the basis of the adopted assumptions variants.
